The autumn colours in Ashridge occur later than in the rest of Hertfordshire but they were worth waiting for because they have been spectacular. Another feature is the rutting season with lots of deer and stags to be seen. This year they have been few and far between due to the culling earlier. However in the field near Ladies Walk where you normally see them I did find some magnificent bulls as well the surrounding Autumn trees.
